Evitec Solutions has been a long-term partner of Pohjantähti since 1994. During nearly 30 years of cooperation, Evitec Solutions’ experts have developed and modernised Pohjantähti’s insurance systems to meet the needs of today and tomorrow. The jointly developed system enabled Pohjantähti to launch its new health insurance product in the spring.

Reliable and stable system, innovative architecture

One of the most important achievements of the collaboration is a stable and reliable system that supports the business and strategy of Pohjantähti. The innovative architecture allows the old and the new system to run in parallel, reducing the risks during migration and deployment. The roll-out was done without any interruption of services to Pohjantähti’s customers.

In the future, too, the system can be developed flexibly in the background, whether the changes are small or large. Timeless and modern technologies have been chosen to support growing customer volumes and free up resources to improve the business and customer experience. Scalability and ease of further development are important when considering future solutions. Grönroos adds:

The processing of personal insurance is now fully redesigned, and the processing of business insurance will be developed in the application over the next year – overall, this is a tremendous achievement.

— Of course, there are always challenges with big projects, but we have always been able to overcome them and move forward. Good cooperation works even in difficult times, concludes Kotilainen.
